The construction of this Gothic style church goes back to 1339, but through the centuries it went through substantial structural and architectonic modifications. It was
Completely rebuilt in 1682; in 1858 further variations were made with the insertion of stucco art work and frescos on the walls and vaults of the ceilings. Canvases, chandeliers and furnishings were added and the altars were decorated in “libeccio” style marble. Today, the church has a distinct Baroque-Renaissance style.
