CHIESA SAN DOMENICO
The name of the square comes from the nearby Dominican convent, founded in 1486 and attached to Saint Michael’s church. The church’s façade has a portal recalling the fourth century enriched with a portico of renaissance inspiration that was added in 1862. After the last restoration that took place in 1970, the church and the convent were destined for the seat of the International Centre of the Scientific Culture “Ettore Majorana”.
