CASA PIRRELLO

The building, also designed by Franco Purini and Laura Thermes, together with the nearby Pharmacist’s house, constitutes an ideal entrance way to the city. In this house, the architects draw on some important experiences gained towards the end of the nineteen sixties. The base square, in fact is flanked by a lamellar space, containing stairs and lifts. This homage to Derrida’s deconstruction, which is so important to the two architects, is traceable above all to the sloping beam of the roof.
