Designed and realised in 1972 by Alberto Samonà, Giuseppe Samonà and Vittorio Gregotti, three great Italian architects and town planners, the building is situated on Piazza 15 gennaio, (15 January; the day of the earthquake in 1968), and is composed of two parts in an L shape, the main wing holds the boardroom and presents itself with a measured interplay of fullness and emptiness, light and shade, and the secondary wing is used for the offices, distributed along a corridor. Inside the Agora room is a mosaic by Gino Severini.
